Insight to David:
David Wachs was destined to be a performer. Raised in Palm Desert, CA David says, "if you weren't creative you really weren't doing much of anything, literally." Being in a household with a father who was a professional jazz guitarist and a mother who has been a prolific songwriter and entertainer for decades also certainly helped.
David believes not only in achieving greatness with every endeavor but also maintaining integrity in everything he does. Whether it's acting, song writing, Emceeing, DJ'ing or Dancing, David works hard in accomplishing his goals in his Artistry.
"If you don't think big why think at all" is David's motto. He grew up choreographing Hip-Hop routines for school functions, competitions, and rallies. At the age of fifteen he was presented with the opportunity to star in the play Shenandoah starring Howard Keel (Dallas). At that point he knew there was something more out there for him besides dancing. He continued in theatre for two years (Evita, The Boy From New York City), and got the opportunity to compete at the Millie Lewis convention in Florida where he took home first place in dance and got his first agent. He graduated high school and immediately came to Los Angeles to pursue his career. Getting parts on hit TV shows such as E.R., Days of Lives, Living With Fran, Still Standing, etc., and booking pilots for MTV, Hart Break Films, and Fox Family Channel. At the same time David still made time to dance, working and touring with such artists as Usher, Before Dark, and Omarion, which gave David the kind of confidence he needed to follow his dream.
Amongst all this David found yet another love and passion which was to write and compose music. Collaborating with his father on jazz, and working on Pop, Hip-Hop and R&B, David was hooked. In 2006 David branched out and opened his own Production Company, DWP (David Wachs Productions). In 2007 David got his first song placed as the theme song to a television show, Almost Famous, which enabled David to start his own publishing company as well. David is currently in the process of producing many music projects for Artists and also working on his own personal music solo Album. Keep a look out for DW, www.myspace.com/officialdw.
